Yes, they cancelled the previous PCN's that were successfully defended in court, and complained to the DVLA that fell on deaf ears.

This is another batch that have been struck out.

    No further PCN's outstanding :)

Really appreciate all your help CM without your help and all the other regulars on MSE, I wouldn't have had a clue without all the support.

    Hi all.
I'm just after a little more advice about a reinstated case. The Claimant has managed to reinstate the case months after it was struck out without a hearing. I spoke to the courts call center, they confirmed that they payed the fee today and that the hearing is going ahead. The following images are of the letter I received today. It  was dated the 28th of July, yet the letter envelope makes it look like the letter was sent on the 11th of August. Is it normal for correspondence to take this long? and if not, could I use this point in my defence.
Second question is, with the Claimant reinstating the case. Should they have not made me aware of this as well as the court? Thank you in advance and for all past help. I was hoping this was all laid to rest months ago

The justice system is broken , too much work etc, so poor communication  margins and timescales are also poor

I doubt that any of your queries affect anything at all,  not material to the case

The claim is probably back on track and you must comply with the court order

I strongly suggest that you change the thread title to something more suitable,  include CEL in it

Those dates are normal for courts and were not caused by CEL.  The judge has dictated something on one day and then the court staff have finally created an Order and posted it, weeks later, hence the date top right.

Looks like CEL made an application with excuses as to why they missed paying the hearing fee, and those excuses were accepted by a judge reviewing the reasons.  They didn't have to copy you in.

You'll get a hearing date again next, and the deadline for your WS and evidence bundle is probably on page two of that April Order.  Likely due not late than 14 days before the hearing. Basically, it's all reinstated.

While your case is quiet before the next hearing order, don't disappear!

It's important that the Government hears from people like you with unfair charges who are dealing with threats of scary court claims. That's when you win ... but most people don't know that these cases are a greedy scam and are winnable.

The link shows the two vital points to concentrate on, IMHO:

    - banning 'fee' add-ons completely.

    - making sure a new SINGLE appeals service replaces POPLA and the IAS which are seen as not fully independent and involved in a 'race to the bottom'.

Click through to the main thread about the Consultation.

Do not be deterred by the fact that some questions are for the parking industry only.

We are currently discussing how to respond. Please join us in doing this Consultation before it closes in three weeks. This is your one chance to make a difference re the proper regulation of private parking.

Totally agree about the fact the Code only talks about allowing a longer grace period, which is not enough as a reasonable adjustment.  It should say that there must be a mechanism for disabled motorists to claim an extra hour or more, over and above the usual free or paid-for parking time that is on offer to other motorists.

That's what the Equality Act requires.  Not a couple of extra minutes of grace period.
