Are you visiting the property every week?1

That sounds like my grandson’s bedroom. He is 12.
He just walks on top of it.
He hangs everything on the floor.0 -

You seem to be overly monitoring your tenant - this is unacceptable for a landlord. Why were you investigating the bedrooms several days in a row or monitoring when the tenant is in or goes out. For a landlord tenant relationship what you are describing is harassment.
If you are friends too then you could inquire if your friend needs help, but that is not how you presented this, you presented this as your tenant.
You do not get to control how your tenant lives their lives. You do not get to visit constantly to check on the property. You do not get to advise a tenant on how tidy they should be. You do not get to advise on child rearing. As long as they are not damaging your property and paying their rent as agreed, that is the end of your input.
If my landlord had commented on when I was in or out or my level of tidiness or how I parent my children I would be freaked out and really angry.3 -
I missed the returning the following week bit of the original post.
OP how often are you inspecting the premises and for what purpose? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

You shouldnt get emotionally attached to the property, just deal with it in a business like way. We live in a diverse society where we are all different, you need to accept those differences and move along. In answer to your original question yes you should ignore it and no you should not offer to help.

There may be a valid reason the landlord visited so many times, maybe asked to come round by tenant for something. However as a landlord - stay out of it.
