    Another key feature, which some will miss, is that it is fixed. Your money is tied up for the whole term. You can't close it or withdraw anything before that.
  • With rates almost certainly going to drop a couple/few times in that 18mo period it may well be worth £10k

    Opened it early this morning, still not recognised by Santander so can't deposit. NW do warn it could take 24hrs to bee recognised.

    Deposit via another NW account if you have one ? That usually works when RS accounts have the same issue.

    Yes but on a much smaller amount than upto 10K😏, also the start to save 2 didn't start at 5.5%

    I stated 'to be included' i.e. I'm adding other funds too.

    Keeping the RS running
    Securing the 5.5% for 18 months
  • I have a variable rate cash ISA which is currently paying 5.1%. Is it worth using £10K of this to deposit into the Nationwide 5.5% fixed rate bond?
