Only certain CIFAS data is relayed via credit agencies, so if you want to know what CIFAS has on file for you, you need to submit a subject access request to them directly:

    https://www.cifas.org.uk/contact-us/subject-access-request/subject-access-request-form

Probably best to keep to one thread, as you've already started multiple ones about this, and it'll presumably be part of the same story....

There is usually a delay in it showing on a CIFAS subject access report though. You may want to repeat the check in a few weeks to be completely sure.

I received a email back from CIFAS and they hold no data on me. I also opened a Starling bank account which was approved within a few hours. I've been reading about CIFAS marks and the reasons people get them. I barely used the account, the only two transaction this year has been me putting money into premium bonds, one payment of £1000 and one of £500. I have not lied on applications, no one has used my account, no one has sent me money for me to send to somewhere else. Do you think I should continue checking for a marker ?

How did you deposit the money into the account? Did it come from third parties e.g., friends or from abroad? Withdrawals from Bitcoin/crypto exchanges?

No money from abroad of crypto. I have PayPal connected which I've withdrawn small amounts of money to my account before. The last time I've done that was in 2022. Last month I decided to open a premium bonds account with funds from my account because I don't get much interest on the money I had in there. Santander's letter told me that it was due to recent activity.

You have not given us enough information even to speculate on what has happened here. How was your account funded? When was it funded? Where did the money come from? What payments did you make from the Santander account and when? It probably does not matter, unless you do the same with another account.

I have this account since 2008. I have had funds from it given to me from my grandmother years ago. I used to use the account for every day transactions but moved back and haven't used it much since 2017. I had had friends send me payments on this account before. I've not made any payments on this account apart from this year sending money to premium bonds.

Have you had any recent receipts from friends in it? It could be that one of them has been flagged up as fraudulent and you’ve been caught by association. But we can only speculate here, only Santander will know the actual reason.

The last time a friend sent me money is in 2022 so nothing recent at all.
