Evening all,
Should have done a Lidl run today but managed to postpone until to-morrow...we need flour, potatoes, cucumber, mozzarella, milk, sausages, toilet rolls, bananas and other sundries so will make quite a hole in my remaining €168.16.
Still got a whole turkey and three or four dinners from the turkey I jointed on Christmas Eve, one ham dinner, several fish ones and 800g mince which should make 3, so not sure if I need any more meat before end of month...think that there are a couple of pork chops somewhere too.
Good shopping all,.

Thank you to you all, I have saved a small fortune on my shopping this month and it is all down to you guys and the help and support you give.
As you can see from my sig I have come in well below budget for the month!
The reason i am saying this now is i go on holiday for a week and a bit as of Friday and i have food in the fridge to last until then, so no more shopping before then.
Thanks again and good luck to the rest of you!

Just a quick update.... i have turned the ingredients i got earlier into soup as promised :j
So i now have :-
chicken n sweetcorn - 6 flasks worth

and cream of broccoli -4 flask worth - so that is the majority of hubbies lunches sorted for the next 3 and a bit weeks :T well with some HM cobs
That little lot will keep hubby happy.
Hopefully now i will be able to keep on target this month and get off to a good start next month  ... keep up the great work everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Walked around the Coop this morning (looking for bargains but was none) so was pleased with myself, then when I went back for DS2 I left my purse at home which saved me money. Refused DPs moans for takeaway when I'd planned a meal and got it out of the freezer, so NSD for me
Hope everyone else is doing wellOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Just catching up with you all after a couple of days with no internet.
I am having trouble spending any money. Dont know what is happening here but the cupboards are still groaning and i dont need to go to the shops at all.
Mmmmmmm very strang - i must have massive stocks without realising it.
So no update for the sig just a hello all.
Glad to hear you are all doing so well.
I may have to lower my budget next month!!!!!0 -
I spent another £6 today, got several bakery items reduced as well as veg so the only thing I paid full price for was the milk.
I have spent today doing some stats on what I soend on. I worked out how much I spend on value products, reduced products, offers BOGOFs etc. and therefore calculated the amount of food I buy at full price. It currently stands at 41% (this year), which means 59% of what I spend is on bargains (even if its reduced / on offer I dont buy it unless its better value than a cheaper brand that isnt on offer). Anyone else done any similar stats as I havent kept my previous receipts I cant backdate it and would be interested to see how this compares to others.0 -
Hi all, Yesterday, I went to the local green grocer and asked how much for a sack of potatoes and he quoted over £9.00 for a large sack-is it that I'm out of touch or is that ever so slightly (bordering on real rip off) expensive??? Needless to say I let him keep them!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I think we pay about £4.50 for a sack from a local farmer.Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
