  • Morning All (just, it's nearly afternoon already   ) - I haven't done a hands turn yet today and,in fact, I'm still in my jamys :o:o Having a VERY lazy day today (it's my birthday, shhhhh!).

Dear old DH is taking me out for a surprise lunch today, so that's a boost to the GC. Since I did my shopping on Thursday I haven't been near the supermarket, so that will make 3 NSD's if I manage to avoid the shops today....YIPPEE!.

Keep up the good work, all who are doing well,
and don't beat youselves up those of you who are new and struggling - remember - baby steps.

    Have a good day everyone

    happy birthday bobbykins :j

thought id just update on my total so far for this week.
My mum went shopping yesterday to get the food for DD birthday party, and while she was there she got me a few bits i needed aswell, then told me to just give her a tenner (even tho my bits came to more then that), and said shed buy party food. :j so this week only spent £10 so far out of my budget.
DD birthday is actually friday, so hoping to take her out somewhere nice for her lunch. wont be expensive, maybe just the local pub for a nice sarnie and a j20 or something. so out of my £40 budget for this week, i have £30 left, but need prob £10 of that for birthday dinner. so approx £20 left for food. Hmm, shall be hunting for bargains this week I think... :o

Argh - getting closer and closer to my target.

Oh well, I've just done an Asda shop and yesterday stocked up on fruit and veg from the market so we'll have to see how long we can make it last.

My main challenge this month has been roping my OH in.
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

    Happy Birthday Bobbykins :D:D:D

Rosieben - I think it was yourself that said you make your rice pudding in your slow cooker.... could I have the recipe please ??:o :D

I went out shopping on Friday, and bought a slowcooker from Argos (different budget)
Today I am going to cook some soya mince in it for tea.. and whats left will be shepards pies
I also went to IKEA.... oh thats such a baaaaaaaaaaaaaad place. Althougth I was very restrained. I bought lunch, for myself and a friend, and a block of their cheese. I did buy some bedroom furniture, but again thats a different budget. Tomorrow i am going back for a table and chairs for my kitchen, that I seen on Friday. I was going to have them delivered, but the delivery charge was £50  . So I am now borrowing my brothers van to get it myself.

This is my month that I get 2 pays... because I am 4 weekly paid. I feel quite chuffed with myself, in being able to get some much needed new furniture, as in previous years I have always had to pay off debts with it :o

My spends so far - £85.29. I still have 2 weeks left, but I have just had a look back over my previous GC's numbers, and I am doing very well in comparison... so I am very happy about that :D
I might even come under budget this month....
  • hi, just finished weekly shop. so far this month £166.58. However i still need several items to make this weeks meals. Im going to try and get a Tesco delivery done for next week if i can get hubbys menu planning in gear.

Has anyone else noticed how much cheese has gone up recently? thinking of buying a cow and chicken for the back garden!
