I've also given up on them. But when I (finally) managed to log in the other day and close the account online, the closing balance+interest were in my linked current account within a few hours.

I thought I would try to log into the account today and did exactly what I did yesterday and I was successful.

Nothing different to what I did yesterday.

So I transferred my £2.00 back to my nominated account but did not close it.

I like to keep all my bank accounts open even if there is no money in them.

Did you try their website? works fine for me
Is there any other way? As far as I can tell the only way is to login to the website and use the authentication app.

Apart from difficult security is there any other reason not to like Cynergy...? Am I going to regret funding the account?

I use Cynergy and have no complaints. Yes the login is more laborious than other banks. But I find withdrawals happen quickly and when I did an ISA transfer in and later out, the process was quick.

If you ask them, they will send you out a digipass device. Been using it a couple of years now and never had any issues, I dont use the app.

I have had a few problems in the past logging on, but in the last couple of years or so it doesn't happen that often.
Also, it was a pain opening a new account every few weeks to get the best rate too, but I don't think we will have that problem to worry about any time soon!

I found it very fast with the fast track.

I've been with Cynergy for years - only had to ring them once about the app when I replaced my phone. Customer service was really good.
