I Have Given up on Cynergy

A while back I opened an other Cynergy savings account that was paying just over 5% so that I could transfer my Santander account cash to it.
I had one last year which I had closed and transferred the money to Santander.
At the time I spent over 45 minutes on the phone with customer support trying to access the account online using their app and eventually I managed and deposited £1.00 to test all worked well.
It did.
This morning I decided to transfer my Santander savings account to the Cynergy savings account and did a test transfer of £1.00 to see if everything still worked and attempted to log into the Cynergy account but I kept getting errors just like the last time so I went through everything I remembered to fix the problem.
However I then got a message that my account was blocked and to phone them.
So I did and got one of the noisiest call centres in that people were taking in the background, I could hear myself seconds later repeating what I had said and the customer service representative speaking in a weird accent so I could hardly make out what he was saying.
Eventually after about 5 minutes of hello can you hear me understand me he said to hang up and he would call back.
He never did.
After half an hour I called again and although I could understand her she did not seem to understand what I was calling about and took me through 5 security questions which she said I failed and hung up.
Nothing about why their stupid app would not work
And yet last year when I had a Cynergy savings account I never had any problems logging in.
I will just keep the Santander Savings account at the 4.2% interest rate, it is getting too much hassle to keep chasing the highest interest rate and blow the money on a new car.
Best way for an 80 year old to buy a new car?

Did you try their website? works fine for me0

I opened a EA the other month and never got the app to log in successfully
Even spent over 20 mins on the phone who couldn’t get it to work
In the end I just let the account auto close due no funding and went elsewhere0 -
Despite very carefully and repeatedly typing in the code sent to my smartphone as part of Cynergy's multistage authentication process, I failed to get it accepted. I had them send me a new code., That failed too. My Santander money went elsewhere.0

I opened an account today. Was a long winded process, but that's modern security for you....I think you need a pc and a phone....0

.I think you need a pc and a phone....
I am using a PC and I am using the app on the phone to try to verify the image it shows on my PC.
As I said last year it all worked perfectly , this time it does not work and it is the same PC and phone.0 -
Same here, just too much hassle trying to log in, didn’t fund the account so it will close next week.0

I didn't have enough patience and gave up after a few days so the account was automatically closedRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1

Somewhat different experience, but same outcome ( so far).
Managed to set up the new Cynergy account on my android tablet, using their authentication app for security verification purposes ( I agree somewhat long winded and unlike any other new account set up I have ever encountered ).
Where I have hit a brick wall is my bank ( Lloyds) refuse to permit me to send any intial deposits to Cynergy. Lloyds readily recognises the account as a valid personal account in my name but blocks any attempted transfer of funds ( £1 to £1,000) with a bogus ' inadequate funds to initiate transfer' message. This is the first time I have ever seen such a message when setting up a new payee so clearly an unsubtle blocking attempt by Lloyds.
Have to wait until opening hours to phone them and ascertain what their problem is with Cynergy.
Will update in due course.0 -

I've got on ok with them and find it really easy to switch to their latest accounts i.e. internal transfer.0 -

Set up of new transferee and transfer of intial £1000 deposit successfully completed. Can only assume the original attempt in the early hours of the morning was blocked because of the timing.
Rest of funds to follow, once I can see the intial funds in the Cynergy account.0
