I got this reply from my biggest creditor Tesco0
-
They also said:
Please note we attempted to contact you on the 5th of June, we were unable to reach you but left a voicemail requesting you call us back.Before we can tell you what options are available there is some further information that we require;
- When did you stop working?
- What was the loan taken for and where are the funds?

Does that message seem like they are considering a writeoff . I’m still in hospital and I really want this to come to a conclusion as soon as possible

Non of my creditors know I’m in hospital or that I’ve had a stroke. I think I should tell them that first before answering any questions

Please let me know what you guys think my next steps are, I’ve sent all creditors a request for write off . Heard back from 2 out of 3 . Since that time I’ve had a stroke, although I can still read and write it’s still a major health event. I want them to exidate their write off so I can concentrate on my health0

I know you want this over ASAP but you can't force them to go any faster than they are doing.
You can give them the information they are asking for and update them on your current health but you have to stop worrying and let them go at their own pace, it could be many weeks or months before they do write off and worrying will not make it go any faster.
They won't do anything drastic, just concentrate on getting well.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.3 -
The man from Tesco is almost correct, in that, unless you have lost capacity, and can`t make your own decisions, your accounts all need to default first before any further action can be taken.
The consumer credit act gives both you and your lenders rights, your debts are all still live and active, so nothing can be done until the agreements are broken.
This can take up to 6 months, only once defaulted can decisions be made going forward.
We have said every step of the way that this is not a quick process, I sympathise I really do, but try to be patient here, respond to their questions, and keep them updated on your health situation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Ok so I’ve been patient and corresponding to the best of my abilities. All three creditors are communicating though text now.NatWest have just sent me this as an interim step while they look at the documents I’m sending them ( they says they never received my initial letters so I’ll resend that with my new hospital reports)
“ I can then look at either putting a 30 day hold onto your account, or passing your account to our Specialised Support Team within the Bank who can look to provide further bespoke support for you which could include reduced contact and the possibility of placing a hold on the account for you.”
what should I opt for ?0
