Lesson learnt …. Letters going out on Tuesday.0

You have nothing to lose by doing this, I understand the need to be seen doing something, unfortunately nothing moves very fast in the debt collection world, and that can be frustrating.sonnet72 said:Lesson learnt …. Letters going out on Tuesday.

I’ve drafted my letter. It’s a bit long, maybe a bit waffley, not sure if I should post the body of it ( without the personal info) on here, or if someone is kind enough to let me email it to them and give me a second opinion….?0

Send to me in a PM if you wish, remove your personal detail obviously, its better to be to the point in these things, but a little clarity goes a long way.sonnet72 said:I’ve drafted my letter. So I posted letters on Tuesday, got 1 email reply today. They basically saying can you enter a reduced payment plan. They are offering that I pay roughly a third of what my disposable income came to in my finance sheet that I sent to them.I want to ask them if this is an IVA or something just between this lender and myself. How long for, how much debt they writing off .Is this something you guys have come across, I.e a plan between 1 lender and customer0

Is it possible that I can go on a reduced payment plan with each lender without involving Iva agencies and dealing with each creditor myself?Do I have to tell them I have other debts?0
-
Where are you getting IVA from????
Forget IVA, they are just offering a reduced payment plan, see my PM.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you for clarifying. I’ve sent you a draft response.I guess I’m just really scared about saying no to an offer of reduced payments incase they get nasty and say well you never took our offer, now we’re going to screw your over …
I’m going to take deep breaths and send the response tomorrow morning0
