the council offices in the area where she lives keeps a copy of the electoral roll, that is if she is on the public list. Not everyone is for various reasons. Have you been via the adoption agencies at all? More importantly does she want you to find her?

Bella - I traced my birth family a couple of years back. If you want to PM me her name, year of birth and rough area of birth, I'll have a look on Genes Reunited for you.

Be prepared for potential disappointment though; mine eventually rejected me again. Think through all the ramifications before you make any steps because it may not end the way you want (there again it might).

www.lookupuk.com is a great site and will tell you how to go about it. Don't pay a penny to anyone.

If you need to talk about it at any time please feel free to PM me. I searched 6 years ago and have no issues with talking about any of it.

If you know the area where they live you can get the info free from the local council if she has not requested to be taken off the list. You just go there and ask to see the list.
