192.com is out of date (for e.g. I'm on there, but at my old address 200+ miles away) It is no longer allowed to access all the electoral roll details following a change in the law. Because of the change, a lot of people now opt out of their details being made public, so public access local electoral rolls may not contain all local details.
Have you tried the Salvation Army missing person's service? http://www.look4them.org.uk/salvation-army.html and http://www1.salvationarmy.org.uk/familytracing

PS I've just had a closer look at the site and they say they don't look for people 'in situations where an adoption has taken place' :-( But they may know how to get started. It might be worth a phone call.
I see they also don't trace the fathers of children born outside marriage, yet I have a strong feeling that is the reason they started the service in the first place, because women were being left destitute.0 -
Be prepared for potential disappointment though; mine eventually rejected me again. Think through all the ramifications before you make any steps because it may not end the way you want (there again it might).
How sad for you, but as a survivor you have done well without them so far, so it's their loss.
Goodluck to you also Bella, hope it's a happy ending.0 -

hmm "it's their loss".... not a particularly informed thing to say. Their could be any number of reasons the Op was adopted. Adoption can cause great sdaness from all sides. Please bear that in mind.0 -

good thing to take note of Kimberly before you pass judgement on the "birth parents".
I'm pleased she wants you to contact her bella. I'll be thinking of you and sending hugs.

I traced my birth mother last year mostly through Norcap a charity that deals with adoption. They were so helpful & I had a morning with a researcher in the Norcap office (in Whitney, Oxfordshire) which taught me the basics & let me use all of their resources. I think it cost £25 to join, but they are a charity & will happily take a nominal donation.
Don't underestimate the emotional upheavel - I'm still struggling with "things" even though I am in regular contact with my birth mother! Again Norcap were great, as there are so many people who know exactly what you are talking about & can help you see the light!
Good Luck!& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

Or you could try https://www.afteradoption.org.uk their helplines are really good and they will give you practical advice about tracing: depending on where you live they may also be able to help you trace.0
