    Why not just set your cancellation there and then? They now know you're not that serious about leaving.

    She's not particularly bothered, she's unemployed and on UC.

    Also her internet was switched off the day before her next DD was due if she hadn't cancelled it. 
    Which means she probably owes them for 30 days notice yet, she doesn't get to choose what the T&C's are that she's already agreed to.
