Unfortunatley, no matter how many times you repeat it here , we cannot change anything.
Whether we think it is fair or not is not going to changr anything.
You are going round in circles here.

I know this is easier said then done, but in cases like this its always best, I believe to expect nothing and so when you get nothing your not disappointed. If you are awarded something then it’s a bonus.Dorothys_slipper said:Thanks for all your comments. I think it's just been a stressful and upsetting few months.
There have been cases on here of a widow who married a week before the deadline, so therefore recieved nothing as they were no longer entitled. It’s always difficult when the government or media say this is happening and a lot of people get their hopes up, only to be disappointed.
I know my situation is different however I still apply the same expect nothing, anything recieved is a bonus. I got a letter form a loan company saying they agreed with my complaint about irresponsible lending and my claim is worth £5K, at present the payout may be 20% - wont know until August however I expect nothing and so anything recieved in August is a bonus…(likely to get nothing though)Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Thanks for your reply. I do agree with you. I think it just made it worse that when I rang a few months ago, I was told "If it was a definite no, then you would have been told by now", so it's given me false hope. I think if I'd still been with my husband, I wouldn't feel it as much but I still feel widowed and have spent the majority of the time being a single parent on my own, so I feel so disappointed. I am lucky in many ways, so I know I need to hold onto that.peteuk said:
