On BG’s site, the exit fees are £50 per fuel.Scot_39 said:
In general Ive learned never trust referral / comparison sites details or deals will match.XDA said:
MSE Cheap Energy Club show it as £75 (per fuel). That’s where I’d saw it.JoshinLeeds said:This does show as £75 exit fee on some comparison sites. There are other providers that have had incorrect information recently too.
But it’s £50 as pointed out above and confirmed on BG’s website.
If you use that specific BG site link - what price does it show ?
As found several pricing and coverage issues on insurance sites vs actual linked supplier policies so always a bit wary.
As such I'd worry if an error MSE club - or genuine click through deal difference.
The unit and standing charge rates are the same on MSE Club as the BG site and as per my opening post - The standing charges are almost half what I am paying now!“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -

One the other hand, BG seem to have issues with their new billing platform and it would appear lots of customers are receiving wrong bills, incorrect direct debit amounts being taken and no bills being issued etc so I’m not sure what to do.“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
I switched gas to B.G couple of months ago not had any issues, I would have thought same applies to majority of B.G customers.XDA said:xflare said:XDA said:

My view is that if you're savvy enough to keep an eye on your usage and bills then you should not be too worried about their incompetence. There's a complaints procedure and energy ombudsman available to assist with any issues that can't be resolved quickly via the helpdesk. Also, if possible you should take advantage of their generous £150 referal bonus.1 -

I think the next price cap is to be announced on the 24th of May? I havent been able to find anything about which direction standing charges will go though.1 -
I’ll probably make the switch this week - A saving of £117 in standing charges over the next 12 months is probably too good to miss out on!Chris_b2z said:XDA said:I’m in two minds about switching to BG.On one hand I’ll easily save over £100 a year.

I agree - I don’t see standing charges halving to match those on that BG tariff.xflare said:XDA said:
