Magnificent May's No-Spend Days Challenge!

Last day the month, with 26 NSD 🥳
Having exceeded my target, while out picking up some books for work, I popped into a charity shop that I've discovered is an absolute gold mine for board games. I've found all sorts of rare, obscure and vintage games as well as a huge selection of modern ones, including such classics like Carsonne, Ticket to Ride and WingSpan, many of which retail at over £100.
I found a game, Cobra Claw. It's in pristine, as new condition. RRP £19.99 in the Board Game café, I paid £3.
My grown-up kids and their mates are either poor students or new graduates saving for their first home, so Games Nights are a fun, free alternative to expensive nights out.
Before the No Unnecessary Spending Challenge we would have thought nothing of spending a fortune going out for meals or having a night out in the pub.
Having been introduced to Games Night's during a visit to see our daughter, we now prefer to get family and friends together to play board games and enjoy homemade fare.
Between the 6 of us we could easily have said goodbye to over £500 on a night out for food, drinks, taxis etc.
Instead, we take it in turns to host a Games Night. Hosts make dinner for everyone- curry, stew, pasta, tagine etc- and provide bar snacks, guests bring drinks to share.
We've had everything- welly-wanging, home brew and pasties was a particularly memorable evening!
