Parking ticket from GBP management

Hi All!

So a ticket has come through from GBP Management LTD citing no valid permit even though there were no clearly displayed signs. I've read through the Newbies thread and also found an identical thread with the same company. My plan of action:

1. Wait for day 25 and then lodge appeal as the keeper using the 't-shirt template'.
2. Once I receive a response, I will request they issue a POPLA code or cancel the ticket

Anything I've missed from the above?

Thanks again!

Are GBP Management a BPA AOS member?

    GBP are BPA AOS operators.

If this was a postal notification, the initial appeal can be made immediately. 25/26 days applies only to windscreen tickets.

Not sure what the 't-shirt template'?

Sorry for any confusion - ticket was placed on the windscreen.

Regarding the response template, It's the response guidance in Blue although I'm planning to write the following in the appeal body:

"I appeal as keeper.  I am not obliged to identify the driver and I decline to do so.  Your windscreen ticket does not conform to the statutory requirements for a notice to driver.  Please cancel it."

There are little/no requirements for a windscreen PCN. Remove that from the appeal unless you want to point out this:

So appeal would be revised to:

"I appeal as keeper.  I am not obliged to identify the driver and I decline to do so"

    that seem ok?

    Thanks again

No.  Just use the template appeal.

    Hey Coupon-mad,

Thanks, here is the standard template although it talks about the grace period and I wanted to understand if this is applicable here given the permit nature of the bay (i.e. there are no pay and display machines):

"I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.

If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner."
