Just an update:
I had already appealed the PCN and I sent an email yesterday to Simon Roberts, the CEO. Later that day I got an email from Sainsbury's from Lucy Winlow in the executive office responding on behalf of the CEO.
I have been assured by her that the PCN is cancelled, which is a huge relief as it saves me from the entire appeals process.
It's odd though as I do however still feel a little disappointed that I didn't get to the POPLA appeals stage as I was curious to see whether the points would win and I wanted to really stick it to ECP.
I'd like to thank everyone here who helped me with this, you gave me a lot of guidance and support and I really appreciate your time.

The more Plan A complaints the better. Supermarkets need to know how strongly shoppers feel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
