i been working at my new job since september and have been paying 22% emergency tax. I spoke to tax office and im obviously due rebate but wont get it till April. I have filled out a p46 when started and then i think it was a p91 about a month ago.

i interested to know how this new tax is gonna affect me as i earn below 18k

See my previous post about HMRC getting confirmation of wrong tax deducted at the end of the tax year. They should then issue you with a refund. Your employer has until 19 May to submit the return so you may have to wait a bit longer than April to get it.

But what happens if you have two jobs with the same empolyer, do you get an emergency tax code for the second job you take on or is your employer able to lump your two jobs together?

I have spoken to the tax office and they said they would sort it out for me before April over the phone.
The guy even offered to ring me back but cos i said i was monthly pay and my next pay was due 26th dec i said it wasnt necessary for him to ring me on boxing day :D
Im not fussed when i get the refund as its nice knowing that i will get money back and i havent missed the money out of my wages that much.
hubby posted off the p91 form last week so i guess it wont be till after the new year that it will be looked at.
