Check the exhibit number/existence (also in para 27 & 28) :-
"Para 26 - Now for the first time, the DLUHC's draft IA exposes that template 'debt chaser' stage costs less than £9. This shows that HHJ Jackson was right all along in Excel v Wilkinson. (See Exhibit 10)"2 -
Thank you. I'll check and amend1505grandad said:Check the exhibit number/existence (also in para 27 & 28) :-

I'm submitting my WS today. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the court document requesting the Witness statement so I'm not 100% on the email address I need to send the witness statement to. I assume it's the same as the defence? claimresponses.cnbc@justice.gov.uk
I've found a list of email addresses by @KeithP. here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6108153/template-defence-to-adapt-for-all-parking-cases-with-added-admin-dra-costs-edited-in-2024/p1
But 'witness statement' isn't mentioned. So is it the same as the defence?

The address for sending your Witness Statement is definitely not the same as where you sent your Defence.Jammin1 said:I'm submitting my WS today. The CNBC ceased to have any interest in your case once you nominated the hearing court.
It looks like you chose to have your case heard in Coventry, so that's where you must send your Witness Statement and evidence.
Google court finder for an email address.2 -

I sent it to Coventry County Court and send a copy to the claimants solicitors. Meanwhile I'm still pestering Costa to tell CEL to drop the case, but they are telling me that they've contacted their legal dept for comment and are being slow with responses to me nowCoupon-mad said:

I've checked with the court and CEL have paid the trial fee. Can I expect they are unlikely to discontinue at this stage?0

Only CEL can answer that question, but payment of the court fee would indicate that they are going the full distance0

I have some good news! Costa Coffee emailed me the following:
Thank you for sending over the documents and for your continued patience during this process.
Given how close the court date is, we are prepared to cover the fine. You will need to pay the fine directly, and once you have done so, please provide us with a copy of the invoice or receipt, and we will reimburse you promptly.
We are still investigating who made the original agreement with the parking provider so that we can make the necessary amendments moving forward. We will of course update you on our progress.
What do we think about this? I believe the full court claim is £237.50. Should I contact CEL and agree to pay them the full amount and then get a reimbursement from Costa?

It's actually £278.470
