The BPA CoP allows PPCs up to 28 days to respond.
Para 23.8
You must respond to appeals within 28 days or, where a decision on the appeal is not concluded within 28 days, you must acknowledge the appeal and confirm the timeframe for concluding it, including the supply of additional information

But Smart & DRP have form for (apparently) not bothering with rejection letters &POPLA Codes. Let's see what game they play here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, they only allow the option of 'Pay or appeal the PCN' - I can put my PCN and reg in and it is letting me either pay or appeal (despite having sent an appeal in, but no record of it on their end). Odd. I guess I keep waiting.LDast said:Either log in and see if the charge is still outstanding or simply wait for their response. It says on the NtK how long you may have to wait for a response. And reading the other Smart Parking threads because of the current pattern I mentioned.
See the thread by @devonbay1234 that I've just name-tagged you to read a post.
URGENT responses needed to tell the Government researchers about this pattern.

30 days later, nothing from Smart Parking in response to my appeal. Should I email them now to ask of my appeal status? Reading around here I think they will claim to have sent an email response which never made it to me, perhaps because they have not sent it in the first place.LDast said:Either log in and see if the charge is still outstanding or simply wait for their response. Wait until around day 42, then use the complaint link on the BPA AOS member list0

I wouldn't wait till day 42 as that gives Smart a chance to say the POPLA Code has expired.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I emailed their complaints team yesterday chasing an answer to the appeal made over a month ago. The reply from them today is as below:
"5 June, 2024
Dear Mr X XXXXXXX
Parking Charge Notice Number : XXXXXXXXX
Thank you for your recent communication.
I have noted the points you raised and would like to confirm that we are cancelling the Parking Charge Notice.
If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
