They've said it will be replaced in the future.
There's a 'give feedback' option somewhere in the new App.

They haven’t said why it was removed, but they have said they will bring it back based on complaints/responses they’ve had. It seems to be taking longer to bring back, then it took to take away. 

I found it really frustrating since the widget has disappeared as well

I did a review on the Apple App Store and they responded on there. I’d also like to know how to complain directly to Santander
