New Santander login

Has anyone else wasted 45 min trying to use the new login? I still can't get a photo good enough for the app.

I haven't been asked for a photo?
However, they have removed the Quick Balance widget which was the most usful feature of their app, very annoying. I beta tested the new app and kept feeding back that it would be a big loss if Quick Balance was no longer available.
Also, whenever you got in the app, you have to click on Login instead of it going straight to the fingerprint. Again I told them several times that this was a waste of users time. They just ignored me, though they say they have listened to people and "improved" the app.1 -

If you really expect them to make every change someone suggests, then you're living in dreamland, especially when many of the suggestions by users will contradict each other as some people will have complete opposite opinions as to what is good. Not implementing what you specifically want does not mean they have ignored you.0 -

The new app is crap. It won't allow me to log in using fingerprint any more, and won't let me do certain things anymore.

I'm missing the quick balance widget too. It's always frustrating when features you rely on get removed.Credit card debt: £7847.24 £7167.16

Tried it but still won't work, apparently my Android version is too old for their fancy pants new app. Thing is, I'll be buggered if I'm going to buy a new phone just so I can access their app, I'd rather change banks. I only want something to pay my wages in and a debit card. I did a check earlier and I can get a Nationwide Flex Account which offers the same so I'll probably move to them after I check a few other banks out.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
