Is it normal for a buyer to want to measure up after offering on a property?

I can imagine people doing this nearer the time of exchange but not a week after the offer!1

Not really no, why would you think it was dodgy?1

If they've paid then they own the property, so what's odd about them wanting to order carpets, furniture etc. for it?0

If they were going to change their mind, better they do it now rather than later...1

We're only at conveyancing, we haven't exchanged, they do not own the property.1 -
I still dont see the issue, they must be 99.999% confident everything will go through, bespoke furniture etc has lead times and they want to order it in good time.0
