I think CM was confirming that a Directions Questionnaire is sent to you by post.
Obviously you will be returning your completed DQ as described in that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence.2 -
Yes you asked how it is sent!
I answered that question.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For clarity... the N180 DQ is sent to you by post. You send it back as a PDF attachment by email.
You can download one at:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/664cb5df993111924d9d3928/N180_0524_save.pdf
However, the downloadable one is a slightly newer version which forces you to accept mediation. This is a relatively new process that is being trialed. It is Done by phone and is pretty useless for these types of claim from ex-clamper thugs. It would go along the lines of:
Mediator: Hello. The Claimant is asking that you pay £250 (or whatever) to settle this. What do you have to say?
You: I am only willing to offer that I will accept £25 from the Claimant for wasting my time.
Mediator: So, as the Claimant, what do you have to say to that?
Claimant: Uh? We will only accept £250 (or whatever).
Mediator: Defendant, what do you have to say to that?
Defendant: See you in court sucker!
Mediator: Blah blah blah.
Neither party talks directly to each other. The mediator bounces back between the parties.
Do you get the drift? Although it was pointed out a day or so ago by @Johnersh that the mediation could be used to make the Clamant realise how shaky their ground is by asking for proper disclosure before agreeing to mediate on the basis that neither side can evaluate properly without that. Although I can't see anywhere on the new N180 DQ where exactly you'd suggest that for mediation.2 -
@LDast thanks so much for your help with this.
Do you think given the restrictions on the PDF version I should complete the paper one to avoid mediation altogether?
I tried to search for the Jonersh thread but wasn't able to find this sadly. I always struggle with using the search function!
Thanks again for your helpful comments 🙂

It is always best if you can avoid the waste of time with mediation in these cases. Wait for your N180 from the court and then scan it and send back as pdf. Hopefully they will not have the latest forms to hand.
Here is a copy of the older one you can use.

When someone posts that another poster has commented, you just click on the name, in this case @Johnersh, which takes you to their profile and you then click on "Comments" and scroll down until you find the one you want. No need to use the search function at all.2 -

Nothing to stop you gathering evidence and preparing your witness statement now to avoid the otherwise inevitable panic.3 -
@KeithP thank you
I decided to make a SAR I wanted to see what ANPR they had because this was never provided with the letters I received, I emailed dataprotectionofficer@ce-service.co.uk with this request. Do you know from experience if CEL acknowledge the request and the average time scale please?
I know they can drag their heels with this, but hopefully it will come within the month and then this can help to build my bundle for court.0 -
I wish you hadn't.
That blows away the CEL v Chan argument.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
