Anyway, as mentioned by @Coupon-mad above, this is a DCB Legal filed claim and as long as you used the whole defence template and follow the steps in the 12 point checklist from the defence template thread, it will be discontinued in due course.

Add this to your defence then renumber the template (please please don't show us that!):

    4.  The Defendant's V5C was up to date well before the alleged infringement occurred, but no letters were received from the Claimant themselves.  The Defendant would have disputed the unfair charge, contested 'keeper liability' and would have put a stop to this before it reached the courts if the Defendant had received any prior correspondence. The Claimant is put to strict proof of the supposed PCN including that it was posted, where it was posted and that they complied with all the strict requirements of Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
I added that in as an extra paragraph and renumbered the template.
    Thank you for that.

    Hallo Everyone,
    Just a quick  update.
I sent my defence on 13th May and received acknowledgment that it was sent to the claimant and awaiting a response.
It's been over a month and i haven't had from MCO. I was expecting to receive instructions that the claimant was proceeding with the claim.
I have attached screen shot of claim status on MCO website, below. Thanks you all  for you advises.

    Disappointing to read that.
Back on 15th April I wrote on your thread...

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd April, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 7th May 2024 to file your Defence.
But never mind, you are past that point.

The absence of any update is probably due to the Claimant having not responded.

    Hi Keith,
I apologies, i did not send my defence on 13th May, i actually emailed it on 5th May. I was reading what is written on Claim status history which shows they received my defence on 13th May, looks a little odd. I have attached screen shot of part of the email, showing date emailed.
The reason why i dropped the message on the forum was about an acknowledgment letter i had received saying that they had forwarded the defence to the claimant and they have 28 days to respond, of which i believe it is way passed 28 days.
Does it mean they loose the right to continue with the claim or do they get more time to respond back?
Thanks again and sorry for the confusion.

It will continue. The 28 days can't possibly start from a date before the C was served with a defence.

Don't expect anything to now happen quickly. County court matters now average more than a year to come to trial/final hearing.

Not enough courts, judges or funding because it's an unsexy use of public funds...
And because parking roboclaims have hijacked the astonishingly naive MCOL 'Claimant shoo-in' auto-claim system.

Only in Britain would you get this:

'press here for a default CCJ dear Claimant. One click of a button. We operate using arguably unlawful automated decision-making to enable Claimants....who's going to question it though {nod/wink} no-one will check your added costs or interest or anything at all, but the CCJ letter to the 'oik debtor' Defendant will make it look like a Judge did'

The CNBC would not otherwise be anything like as burdened as it currently is. The impact of parking claims is a massive factor in the case of small claims.

From a standing start, soon after the daft POFA Bill Schedule 4 got invented and pushed through, based on incorrect figures and naive assumptions engineered by the BPA in 2011/12 (with no-one in the DFT noticing the BPA were a Trojan Horse) parking roboclaims now make up over a third of all annual small claims, IIRC.

It was a while ago when I looked at the figures but I think I worked that out from the stats in the DLUHC's draft IA compared to the MoJ small claims totals for the same year.
