Claim was lodged by DCB Legal on behalf of a private parking company. Am so confused about it because i don't recall anything about the PCN. i need guidance please.
1) According to the claim the defendant claims a PCN was issued in Oct -2023 of which am not aware of and didn't receive any correspondence from them.
2) the claim suggests that the car was parked in a DESIGNATED DISABLE PERSON'S PARKING PLACE WITHOUT DISPLAYING A VALID DISABLED PERSON'S BADGE IN PRESCRIBED MANNER. the problem with this is i don't remember ever going to the said car park and I don't frequent to that part of the city either. If at all there is any evidence of the car being their then someone else must have parked the car at that spot.
3) the claim is for 175 pounds plus court fee and legal representative costs.
I have submitted Acknowledgment of service to give me time to figure this out and submit a defense. Please advise on how to fight this.

Have you checked the V5 document for your car - it could be that it has an old address with DLVC - hence you not knowing about it until now.
What is the claim data of the letter?
Can you post a photo of it with all the PI data blacked out?2 -
Which PPC? What is the "Issue date" of the claim? What are the PoC?
Have you fully read the Newbies/FAQ thread? Is the address on your V5C logbook up to date? Many people update their drivers licence details with the DVLA when they move but forget to also update their V5C. The two are not connected and it is the V5c details that the PPC use to contact the keeper.1 -

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd April, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 7th May 2024 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
And don't forget this is DCB Legal - who almost always discontinue if you follow the steps required.3

i have gone through the newbies thread but couldn't find a defense relevant to mine.
1) I need to understand what my defense could be as i know i WASN'T the driver, if its true the vehicle was parked at the alleged spot.
2) Am i obliged to identify who the driver could be?
3) If at all the Claimant or their Legal representatives sent corresponds previously and i didn't receive or seen any of them, will that affect my defense?
Please advise which defense format i should proceed with and If there is any template out there i could you use as a guide.
Thank you

Yes there is a template Defence available. It is cunningly hidden in a thread entitled "Template defence to adapt for all parking cases with added 'admin/DRA' costs - edited 31st July 2023"
And by the way, there is no letter 's' in the word Defence.3 -
