Result! Well done. Did they really make that spelling/typo error or did you accidentally do it and did they really call them "fines".ktTurn said:At sights that do have restrictions in place, there is signage displayed both as you drive into the car park and on various lamppost's. The company that issues Car Parking Fines is a third-party company and they monitor visitors via censored cameras in the car park.
I am pleased to let you know that the restaurant has managed to cancel the Parking Fine for you, and no longer require any further action on your side.
To try and further put this right for you and your family, we would like to welcome you back as guests. I will arrange to send you a £30 KFC Voucher code via email, which you will receive within the hour.3 -
brush it under the carpet.
what action are they taking to ensure that this never happens again and those that need extra time as a result of a long term disability are not caught out by discriminatory ANPR systems?
From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
I didn’t notice that. Not my spelling/typo mistakes this time but they are correct we never caught ‘sight’ of the signage from the blue badge spaces. Also the turning is a sharp turning off a roundabout on a dual carriageway, not the safest place to stop to read an entry sign.Le_Kirk said:

I do not feel it addresses anything I requested in how they are going to make changes, I will be responding to CEO and MP. As I said this also left my friend whose child is severely disabled very distressed and I don’t think she would have been in a position to fight this. They need to do better to make sure restaurants are accessible for all.5 -
Well done on that result. Every complaint matters, not only to cancel individual PCNs but to wear down retailers and landowners to think "PPCs and ANPR is a real problem; there must be a better way"...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They have not mentioned how they intend to solve the issue of preventing this happening again to any patron who has protected characteristics. Personally, I'd respond to the "Care Squad" individual, and cc in "H.O.", requesting an answer to this question. Until such time as they can advise what steps have been taken, you and all other patrons with protected characteristics run the risk of receiving another PCN with all the accompanying discriminatory stress. Until the question is answered, they are still in breach of the EA and liable for the actions of their agents.
Keep the pressure on them. Get the press and media interested in this ongoing breach of the EA that discriminates against anyone with protected characteristics.5 -
Absolutely! I can’t thank you enough for getting us this far. Your letter was beyond fantastic. I will respond to the ‘not care squad’ about the discrimination and breach of EA. Ask for the accessibility/ equality policy and just continue to keep the pressure on.nopcns said:They have not mentioned how they intend to solve the issue of preventingm this happening again to any patron who has protected characteristics. Please keep us updated on how you get on. There may be repercussions for all businesses that contract these scammers to fleece their genuine patrons.2 -

CEL have sent a letter in the post to confirm cancellation of the PCN.I have also been sent from my MP a copy of a letter he has emailed to the CEO of KFC Sabir Sami.‘ The accompanying communication sent to me by my constituent … of the above address and her email sent to Megan Farren on the same date are self-explanatory.I would welcome your response to my constituent's concerns as a matter of urgency. I would like to think that you will agree immediately that the treatment of disabled customers in the manner described by my constituent is wholy unacceptable and that you will therefore wish to raise the matter with your parking management company.’5
