I have just found my tax calculation in another section. Strange how everything is displayed this year.
It hasn’t changed at all. The PAYE section displays the position after HMRC review of ALL those on PAYE whether on self-assessment or not. The reviews generally commence around August (or did when I worked there) and take quite a few months to complete.

You can access your self-assessment return by logging in, view completed returns, view calculation. I completed mine yesterday, having received my P60. I owe them money according to the calculation that I can access - as expected.

This hasn’t changed in 27 years.
    I appreciate the info.

I have just been on the HMRC web chat after a 40 minute wait and I can confirm my repayment is with security checks and can take up to 6 weeks. Has anyone here had a security check in the past. I'm guessing I await a letter.

Last year i got security checked and just had to wait for it to clear. No letter just time for them to do their thing. It was a 7 week turnaround.

I phoned yesterday (I usually would wait) but I’ve had my letter with my tax calculation etc (the normal letter once you’ve done your return)

she said it’s going through security checks but just the NORMAL process ……. I think they have different strengths of what they check

she said it should be with me by the 20th May

Same mate but to be fair the people answering the phones and replying to web chats have no idea of a realistic issue date, so its just a waiting game now.

Yeah I feel the same mate. Especially as I recently spent everything I had investing in a new business.
