Several DCBL Letters received. Now at WS stage. Help Needed! (Updated Thread Title)

I just found it now on an old tab I had open. I dunno why but I struggled to find that particular thread earlier.

Also, today was the last day for me to submit the DQ to CNBC. Given that I've now sent it after midnight. Will that affect my success now in this process?

I did send it to DCBLegal on time however to the email I used for them before.

Okay, sure.

Yes I was just rereading the newbie thread on the witness statement but I'm not sure how to go about writing one. The first point said to do this - (a) a copy of the Beavis case sign as a comparison to show how awful the small print sign was in yours case (see Google images - it's yellow and black)

...so I'll try and find that. Other than that. I'm not sure what to actually write apart from rewriting the 'story' part in my original defence.

Also, I couldn't find any of these examples mentioned here:

Click on their usernames, look for their Court claim thread and study their witness statements, adapting the best one to suit your case 

Only you know your case, as the first person witness, we weren't present, so we cannot tell you what you should write, it's a bespoke witness statement from you as a witness . Those other examples from the names above should help

Your witness statement is "in support of your defence as already filed" and therefore should be ............... in support of and back up whatever you put in your defence.  It is a narrative of what happened on the day and subsequently, written in the first person in your own words.  It happened to you so no one on here can write it for you.  Reduce the impact of anything negative and emphasise the impact of anything positive. It is also your chance to attach any evidence that you wrote about in your defence.  Read other witness statements to see what those posters wrote - particularly successful ones.

One thing I'm confused with is it has two dates on it. The first page as 21.08.24 and the last page has 16.08.24. Why is that?

I can't see 26 August on either page.

Anyway, neither of the two dates on that letter have any significance.

Paragraph 6 is quite important. Don't miss that deadline.
Of course you don't know that deadline yet, but when you get the hearing date you'll know the deadline for filing and serving your witness statement and evidence.

Sorry it was the 21.08.24 on the fist page. I've now corrected my post above.

I just read Citizen_K WS and I'm concerned my WS will be nothing like that or as detailed. It also has a lot of jargon I don't understand, especially about the cases and if and how they apply to my situation. So not sure what parts to copy.

I'll continue to read and see what I can write up.
