    It would be worth checking whether the same applies in this case.  


    I appreciate your input, however, there was no such clause on the LA's website or in the T&C's of the Notice of Approval. In any case the beneficiaries are in the process of making arrangements to pay back the appropriate part of the grant. It is the right thing to do under the circumstances as it is clear that the deceased had the grant and benefited from it. Thanks again to you and everyone that have contributed here,

    As the sale of the property only happened because of the death of the owner, I wonder if it would be worth approaching the council and asking if they would waive the repayment in view of the circumstances which led to the sale
