Cursor jumps into quote box

Often when I try to quote reply, I click in the area underneath the quote, start typing and the cursor and the words I've typed jumps into the quote box.

Why does it do that?

When it happens, there doesn't seem to be a way to get back outside the quote box, nothing I click on will move the cursor out of the quote box, so I can't reply.

I sometimes have to try replying three times before it'll let me type without issues.

This is on an android Samsung phone.

Not sure if this works on phones, but on a PC if you click on the 'toggle HTML view' option (the '</>' rightmost symbol in the taskbar at the top of the post when you have hit reply) then you should be able to move the cursor and type after the '/blockquote' html that marks the end of the quote.

Then click the symbol again to toggle the view back so that you can continue with full formatting of your reply.

Unfortunately that option doesn’t appear on the phone. I see it on an iPad maybe because the screen is bigger

refreshing the entire page once or twice sometimes sorts it for me. E.g. refresh the page, reply attempt, refresh the page, reply with success!
