Why do I see so many rubbish cars with very exclusive number plates?

'I liked the idea of something unique'[Deleted User] said:Why on earth does it worry or even concern you? Are you saying only certain people with certain cars should have them? Its personal choice. My car is nearly 8 years old and I have a personal number plate because I liked the idea of something unique. Referring to someone's car as 'cheap, crappy' comes across as rather unpleasant and entitled.
All number plates in the UK are unique

Ok a bit different then! Oh where would the world be without the pendant!1 -
The ones I see are all driven by older people who I presume have downsized from Range Rover to Honda Jazz as they got older.1

I have a private plate that cost me nothing…..changing my name by deed poll to yx 57 dby was a bit expensive2

I believe that registration was withdrawn (oo er missus!) several years ago.facade said:... If I had PEN 15 (which doesn't return a trace- I'm sure it was valid a while back) It would go straight on my crappy old car...
Don't know about KNO 8 though...no trace, nor on B16 nob or BO08 ies either, (another couple I'd quite like). PN15 xxx's are about though, I see one parked in the bestest space outside Tesco every Saturday shop, and I never fail to smirk and think "Hur, hur, that says p#n#s! (despite what people say men never ever tire of a childish joke)I followed this one on the way home from work a couple of years back (still from dashcam footage) just say it out loud, I'm sure the driver knows by the illegal spacing!
I just checked and it is invalid today! I wonder if it was withdrawn for illegal spacing, or do numbers on retention show as invalid? Such a waste to not use them if they are on retention!I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

Steve Parish (former motorbike racer, truck racer & TV motor racing pundit) used to have it. He used to live just down the road from me - I last saw it a few years ago on a Merc that he was driving.0
