Flight cancellation with Jet 2.com

Hi All
I booked 2 flight tickets on my credit card for myself and friend in January .
My friend booked the accomodation on her card.
I have since had new health problems.
I have travel insurance via NAT west bank.
They have agreed to refund my flight if can't or want to cancel but I have to accept that they can't refund my friends flight.
Is there any other way that I could get the other ticket refunded? Is my friends insurance likely to cover even though I paid ?

your friend will need to ask her insurance whether the policy covers not travelling as the person they are due to travel with is not travelling1

She will need to go via her insurance.
