List of all EDF tariffs difficult to find
I'm on EDF and I'm trying to get a list of all the available tariffs. They are either forcing me to log in and get a quote, or if I don't log in, they force me to call for a quote even though I've given my post code so they know where I am in the country. I'm concerned that I'm not seeing all the range of tariffs because I'd like to weigh up options like coming off E7 and onto flat if I change from storage heaters to smart radiators, etc. but it's near impossible to get at all the figures. I know that some tariffs change, but others like the 1 year and 2 year fixed, etc. don't change that often, and without a decent look at all the offerings, I can't make an informed choice.
Grateful for any pointers please.

These kinds of things - https://ecostrad.com/smart-electric-radiators/ - radiators that have a "profile" of room usage and try to constantly keep the room at a specified temperature according to day and time of day. The intention is to keep better control of a room temp so stopping the current charge at night/discharge at day that I'm currently having to do with the storage radiators. The theory is that keeping a room at a decent temp all the time is cheaper than letting it get very cold throughout the day and then taking loads of energy to bring it back up to temp, plus the problem of having to plan ahead with storage radiators and sometimes getting it wrong.Phones4Chris said:What do you mean by "smart radiators" ?0 -
That's great. Where did you find those files please... so I can go back and get new ones later on?1 -

Please don't replace your storage heaters with on-demand electric heaters. Only an electric central heating system is more expensive.1

I don't think links are needed. At the moment you heat your storage heaters overnight at the E7 cheap rate and use that to heat your property during the day. All the energy to heat your home is at the cheap rate (let's say its 13.5p/kWh) and I'm guessing you might also heat a water tank at the overnight price too.
The radiators/water tank will use the same/similar amount of electricity but you will be on a standard tariff (lets say it's 27p) so will pay a more expensive rate all day/evening to keep warm. Water will also be heated at the more expensive rate.
The simple example above shows it will cost twice as much to heat your home/water as it does now. You will however save a little on other electrical use as the rate will be a bit cheaper than your daytime E7 rate.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

There's nothing especially "smart" about them at all. They'll be using energy at peak rates rather than using off-peak E7 rates as per storage heaters. Frankly, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. There's plenty of others here will say the same.msknight said:
