This is fantastic I will be following your ideas. My DIL2 is expecting in April and she is in to scrapbooking. Would it be ok to make an easter basket with scrapbooking stuff in or is it too random.
I too love yellow/green for easter will be going with that.

I think its a brill idea. She'll love it.

Two things I made last year were these carrots, just a piece of orange felt with a green pipe cleaners to close. They were filled with small chocolate eggs also jelly beans. http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t204/soblivion/?action=view&current=100_0463.jpg

Also these bags http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t204/soblivion/?action=view&current=100_0466.jpg excuse the wording, the baskets I did were for 16, 20 and 26 year olds, so not children. There are bunny poop verses on the web for younger ones. These were just choc covered toffees.

Just to add this washcloth bunny looks good http://www.geocities.com/kraftproject/Instructional/washclothbunny.html

If you do want chocolates, then Lidl is always good for cheap themed items (hollow chicks, bunny lollies etc for a few pence each), and M&S is good for the bigger 'different' lines (last year they did a 5" tall tractor that went down well with my boys)

For non-chocolate gifts (these are all for children BTW) - in the past I've given suncatcher kits, wind up creatures (think springtime - bunnies, butterflies etc), novelty egg cups, shaped soaps, small games and pencil sets, and this coming year I'm going for 'paint your own' kits (mugs, piggy banks etc) and growing sets (sunflowers, grassheads etc)

    :)

instore / £stretcher usually have lots of these kind of things ,as do woolies
    good thinking batman ! :D

Talking of 'paint your own' and growing kits - just come across these - only £1.99 now, and the beauty is, they could even be split 3 ways if the extra paint can be sourced (eBay's a good place for that)

M&S had large ceramic white egg shaped 'egg holders' today for £3. They were super quality and would be lovely as a hamper filled with little chicks and mini eggs then tied with a large ribbon for children or as the start of an adult themed hamper perhaps filled with real eggs and accompanied with a recipe book, apron and cooking utensils? I tried to find it at M&S online but couldn't, sorry. I did however find a reduced egg cookery book that could go with this theme:

I shall have to think of something for MIL's birthday ..........its not till June but she's not a well woman. She has crumbling bone disease (forget the proper name for it now), has to use a stair lift, a cleaner comes in once a week and she doesn't get out unless she's taken out. She lives miles away from us but we always go and see her around her birthday. No good getting her cookery stuff..........she has most of her meals delivered that just need microwaving. She does read a lot and watched tele.............real soap addict.......lol I like the colour theme...........anything would go in the basket as long as the colours toned in. Any ideas on the sort of thing I could look for for this ? She's not one for make up either and she's 86 if that helps.
I had thought of a photo in a frame of my grandchildren but they're from my first marriage ............still, she might like it anyway. Sent her some of the new grandson when he was born. Racking my brains I am.............

Ooops.........just realised I'm a bit off topic this being Easter thread......sorry
