The sent me a pre-completed application form that I had to sign and return alongside copies of certified ID. They provided a return envelope which was pre-printed the following freepost address for their current account application team:DevonRiz123 said:PRAISETHESUN said:First correspondence I got from Ulster was a letter about a week after I applied. I wasn't given the option of electronic identification though, so you might get some emails about that sooner. @DevonRiz123
The envelope was freepost, no stamp required. They asked for certified copies, which I got sorted at my local NatWest branch. There's no way I would be sending them originals of my passport, etc.
If you get in touch with them and ask them to send you a postal application pack, they will provide all the required information and a return envelope.0 -
Not sure whether their branch selection for a current account follows the same process as their savings account, but applications for the latter specifically directed non-NI people to choose the central Belfast branch:DevonRiz123 said:

Not sure there's anything anyone on here can do to help as such - if you've applied for an account and haven't received any confirmation then all you can do is contact Ulster and ask them. How long ago did you apply?DevonRiz123 said:Hi i switch to ulster to get the £200 and i put in a ni branch and i dont get a text or email?

I'm worrried that I won't get the switch offer since I done NatWest and RBS and got £200PRAISETHESUN said:@DevonRiz123

If they ask why .
Did they ased why are you with Ulster?
And if I provide my driving licence by post will they return it to me?0 -
I was not asked why I wanted the account. When I talked to them the conversation was devoted solely to what I needed to provide to complete my application. Have you gotten in touch with them to find out why you haven't heard anything from them? Ask them to confirm they have your correct contact details in case an email or letter has been sent to the wrong address. Also ask what documents (if any) they require from you to finalise your application.DevonRiz123 said:

Otherwise as I said yesterday, don't send original documents (ie. don't send them your driver's license). Send certified photocopies.

okay how to certify?0

Per the government guidance I would suggest, that way it shouldn't cause any complaints by themDevonRiz123 said:okay how to certify?
https://www.gov.uk/certifying-a-documentWho can certify a document
Your document must be certified by a professional person or someone well-respected in your community (‘of good standing’). You could ask the following if they offer this service:
- bank or building society official
- councillor
- minister of religion
- dentist
- chartered accountant
- solicitor or notary
- teacher or lecturer
The person you ask should not be:
- related to you
- living at the same address
- in a relationship with you
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Or, if you want it looking actually official, use the post office:
https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/document-certification
It'll cost you £12.75 but it will look far better - and will probably work better with no risk of failure - than something signed by a teacher or similar.1 -
So stop dating then start dating again after you get the account?🤔😏😁Nasqueron said:
