British Gas Hive Saver Tariff

Has anyone else got any experience of this tariff? I received an email about this today… wondering if it’s worth the switch?

I received an email offering me a hive tariff for those with hive plus but when I click on the link it gives no information on the cost just a button to swap.I searched British Gas website but still cannot find it.0

Depends on many things, including how much you use, what you pay now, whether you want the certainty of a fix, or what you think the standard variable rate may be over the next year, and whether you like British Gas.Mark2019 said:Has anyone else got any experience of this tariff? Only you can decide that.0 -
Doesn't seem very exciting, but if things go pear shaped with Palestine / Suez / Putin / Ukraine / Taiwan / Trump then these prices might seem peanuts in a year's time.0

My rationale for going with it is the lower Standing Charges on the Tariff going in to the Summer period.
Just as a note you can Switch to another BG Tariff with no exit fees if they introduce a cheaper Tariff in the future.
It is right for me, that is not saying it is right for everyone.2 -
Thanks - that’s good to know. Are you aware if the ability to switch tariffs includes going from a fixed back to the price cap?Profiterole said:My rationale for going with it is the lower Standing Charges on the Tariff going in to the Summer period.

I changed successfully from BG fixed (non Hive) to BG SVT without paying an exit fee. However, their info was as hopeless as ever, they even contradicted themselves on the same printed page.Mark2019 said:

Thanks for this as they don't advertise the ability to switch back to SVT without the exit fee, must admit I was hoping this would be the case just in case. I'm sure if anyone threatened to switch they would allow this though. But as you say who knows with BG they really are useless lolGerry1 said:
