I thought about getting the mini ones, was yours Holly Lane? I don't know why alot of people have a downer on Aldi, I think it's brilliant for lots of things - though admittedly I wouldn't do a "big" shop there.:wave:0 -
We had M and S one and creamy sauce with corvoisier absolutely gorgeous loads of nuts and fruit and cherries I am not a big fan of xmas puds having been subjected to the fat laded peak freans version of yesteryear for years when I was a kid!xXx-Sukysue-xXx0

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Ours was amazing - very moist and the best I have ever had. It was my mum's receipe:D Well done mum. Thankfully she made a batch and although she sold lots we have another 2 left so I can eat christmas pud all year round:TNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

We had a LIDL's one too and also found it was too nutty, couldn't enjoy the pudding for chewing the nuts!0 -
Ours was lovely, from Asda.
Funniest thing, & an ongoing childhood memory was the year my Mum bought a mouldy Xmas pudding. Same sort of time that the Bisto advert was on saying "& Mum made the gravy"...we always say "& Mum bought the mouldy christmas pudding from the co-op"....it must have been about 20 years ago now but we talk about it every year!!!

Haven't got the time or the inclination for numerous reasons. They may not want the bother for something only 1 or 2 member of their family eat. The cost of the ingrediants which they may not use for anything else outweighs the cost of buying one ready made.thriftlady wrote: »Ours was delicious, but then that was because I made it myself -measure out a load of ingredients, stir, leave overnight, pile in a basin, steam for most of the day, wrap well, reheat on Christmas day -piece of[strike] cake[/strike]pudding. I can't see why anyone would want to buy one
