Audi Finance Gesture of Goodwill Payment

Out of the blue, I received a letter from Audi Finance (coincidentally after I submitted my letter template regarding commission and interest rates on agreements!) offering me a payment of £100 as a gesture of goodwill, which they say is compensation for a failure of good customer service!  This is highly suspicious, and I am loathe to accept it just in case it affects any future claims against AUDIO Finance.  I have had six agreements in my name dating back 15 years!  Has anyone else received this letter?  I would appreciate advice about accepting this £100!.

DCA isn't about "good service" so it's unrelated.

Wouldn't hold your breath on the DCA front, especially if your cars were new.
  • Ok, thanks. Yes, they were new and all from the same dealership.

    Yes I agree looks suspicious.
However is this maybe an interim payment from customer service and the claim will be processed later ? Maybe e mail them back & ask ?
    Just a thought 🤔

Then really dont hold your breath... all VAG responses to date on new vehicles has been no DCA, which would be inline with expectations.

A friend purchased a new car from Audi Group & she has had a response stating DCA was used on her agreement.

Not stated, they will respond after the FCA review in September.

Hi out of the blue an audi finance goodwill payment of £400 was received today claiming they could have taken 'further steps to support customers who contacted them about payment difficulties or had missed payments in relation to motor finance products.'
It says 'there is nothing to do and they will send an automatic payment within 21 days of the date of the letter.'
Can someone please offer some insight based on experience and knowledge.
There isnt an option to not accept the automatic payment, if this goes into my account does it mean I have settled my complaint?
    Advice welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

We had the same response from Audi finance

As far as I am aware, if you aren't in the "game" - you stand no chance of winning.

It's cost me nothing (so far) to make the initial contact.

I for sure have no way of knowing if DCA was or was not in place - but at least I will hopefully find out this way
