You are indeed doing so well.
There used to be a support group on here called the long haulers club (I think it's no more) and people who had a long journey ahead reminded each other that it to make the journey sustainable they needed an occasional minimum payment month or treat that was acceptable. Just to remind you of this as you don't want to hate your life - I am posting this after reading about your down patch.
Some people prefer to throw everything at the debt and get to the finishing point quicker but other people need to include a treat now and then or include holidays in the budget

Evening All,
Time for a slight update:
No Gambling – Recovery is going well. I still can’t believe the journey I’ve been on since joining my recovery group and holding myself accountable.
Finances – A few unexpected costs have eaten into my recovery fund recently.
- Two kitchen cabinet brackets failed, and the units came off the wall. Thankfully, the wall wasn’t damaged or anyone was hurt. It cost £160 for a fitter to put right.
- Over the summer, I completed a big DIY project, levelling the garden. I also bought the children a large trampoline and sandpit, and did some painting and panelling indoors. Altogether this came to around £1,000.
Because of this, I haven’t cleared much debt over the past three months. However, I’m really pleased to say I’ve paid off my Lloyds card completely today.
That leaves me with one substantial card remaining – and I’m determined to keep moving forward.

So, tonight for the first time in nearly two years we went out:
Paid for a baby sitter and had a meal with friends.
I didn't think I would be here when I admitted to my gambling addiction.
