You do absolutely need to take a break and have a good holiday and if that means delaying your final debt free date then so be it.  It can be easy to find too many excuses to spend in that fashion, but you are doing really well in limiting that, so giving yourself a little slack to build memories and rebuild family relationships
Thank you. I have around £300 for the spending on the kids. We have lots of family scattered around so shouldn't need to spend too much.

My wife is happy to pay for most things as long as I clear the debt asap

Well done on no gambling for 5 months. The debt appears to be under control and good your wife is now being more supportive. Life will look very different once the debt is gone. Have a great holiday.

Sorry to hear it has been a rough day.

Life is very short, we had an horrific accident occur in our local village over the weekend and it has absolutely broken me, I didn't know the ppl involved but it has certainly hit home with me just how life can be cut so tragically short.

You are doing amazing to have remained gamble free - I hope tomorrow is a better day.

  • Sorry to hear you had a rough day, give the kids extra cuddles and hopefully today is better!
  • Thank you for those who checked in.

We are dealing with an unexpected death and it is all very sad.
