Collecting a friend in a couple of hours, so time for a quick lunch and another row, I think. I was prompted by @Greying_Pilgrim to put some washing on too, so that'll need pegging out.

Greying, I find myself looking for things to wash when there's a nice sunny day 😂 I don't think I've quite made it through our extensive blanket collection but I'm not far off and have been eyeing up painting overalls and jumpers that don't get worn very often too 😂 I'm sure my wintery self will thank my summery self 😂
Had a nice evening with friend 😊 We attempted a bbq with a bargain disposable bbq that we got from goodness knows where, but it never really got properly hot. We sat huddled in the most sheltered bit of the garden in ponchos 😂 We did time it nicely though- it started raining just as we'd finished eating. Ridiculous to think I'd been out scything in a vest this afternoon, and this evening we were curled up in woolly ponchos with hot water bottles 😂6 -
It's reached that point of the year where while the daytimes are still pretty warm, the temperature drops off really sharply at night, hasn't it!
Great idea to get stuff washed now ahead of winter - I suspect it will even be cheaper on energy costs now as well as the easy outdoor drying, so a truly MSE thing to do!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Missed the free leccy today. Friend was staying and we went out for a walk, although we couldn't park where we planned as it was (as expected) heaving 😂 Car park was packed, several people trying to get in, narrow road, bin wagon, lot if dreadful reversing skills 😂 I was very grateful for (a) a small car and (b) having learned to drive in a transit van, which makes anything smaller than a transit van very easy to move round everyone else 😂
So we went somewhere else, and enjoyed a walk part way round a reservoir instead 😊
Then I have deposited her home, and been to the dental hospital appointment. I walked in early, got called in immediately, asked what I was allergic to, whether there was anything wrong with me (aside from my tooth), asked to open my mouth (don't see how he could see anything aside from that I had a mouth, I was just in a normal chair and not particularly close),and then he said 'we'll be in touch' and I was back outside almost before the automatic doors had closed on me! 😱
So I'm glad I was able to combine that with giving my friend a lift home, otherwise the 52 mile round trip would have felt quite pointless! 🙄
Anyway. They should be in touch within a fortnight (just as I'm back at work and about to head off to an international conference, I'd imagine 🙄). Still, at least it will be done then and they can remove my other crown, fix my filling, and fit the stupid plate thing and maybe, just maybe, I can eat without being in mild discomfort for the first time in about 2 years 🙄
But we won't hold our breath
Right, off to drive home!12 -

Yep, it's been rumbling on for a long time! Not constant pain, but I can't eat properly on it without wincing. It's just become a standard background to life now, but I'll be happier when it's gone.
In the meantime, Mr Cheery is in agony today and has managed to snag an emergency dental appointment at lunchtime. It's raining, and I am taking the opportunity to wield the IPL machine in front of a film.2 -
Oh dear I’m sorry your dental appointment was so rubbish!!!! Poor Mr Cheery I hope he got his tooth sorted!
