Fascinating to be part of that survey too - and hurrah to the egg being an owl's! Owl pellets are also fascinating things - well, unless you're squeamish about teeny tiny little bones that is!7 -
Anyway, stopping work now. I'm giving myself this week to try and catch up but there are just SO MANY THINGS I've ignored over the last couple of weeks, I've done plenty, but still feel like I'm going backwards, and have other stuff to prepare for next week 🙈 I did just claim £255 of expenses though as a last act before I turned the computer off. In the office tomorrow but lots of meetings, hoping to tick a couple of things off at least though.7

Well done for claiming the expenses Cheery, that’s the most important bit!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Excellent work on the expenses claim - I'm inclined to agree with Vix about the level of importance!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ha, thanks! It's a job that often gets put off! Thankfully this is through an external organisation so it should get paid more quickly...
Lots of meetings today but it did culminate in a trip to the pub so won't complain too much 😂 Tired now though!9 -
Evening chums 😊
A cheerful day today 😊 Free parking, an event all morning that was VERY productive and involved a free lunch 😃 and then a lovely chat with a mentee at a cafe on the way home 😊 Mr Cheery and I have been out for a wander this evening, and I seem to have entered a small orienteering type event next week which I couldn't really help as it's so close to home 😂
Planning a gentle one tomorrow. Bit if swimming (I'm on the waiting list for a cancellation place), will upgrade my gym membership while I'm there, need to collect a prescription, some flute practice, and other than that, just some pottering about 😊10 -
Sounds like a great day yesterday, and good to get free parking and a free lunch
. Good luck with the orienteering - everywhere is so overgrown at this time of year. I am covered with gorse scratches from some exploring I did last weekend
. I do love a good map though.

Me too
Hoping to find a couple of new little paths locally. Might see if our neighbour/friend wants to do it too
Swimming this morning, and I spoke to reception about upgrading my swim only membership to a gym membership. Honestly, it's like they're trying to make it as hard as possible! You're meant to be able to do it online, but you can't, and the membership woman said there's no point doing it now, because the direct debit goes out on Monday, so she can adjust it then, but I'll have to ring up on Monday to ask her again - or I can just do it whenever I go in next time and they'll just charge me the difference to the following month (so why can't they do that today?) I think she was trying to avoid me spending money I didn't need to - but the risk is that I'll talk myself out of it before Monday!
Hey ho. Continued my quest to visit every cafe in our local townMy favourite (and most achievable) goal for the year. I think I only have 5 left now (although I'm going off the list in the tourist leaflet and there's at least one new one opened recently that's not in it).
Getting grumpy at my flute practice this afternoon, so I'm going to have a break while Mr Cheery has a nap, and get the IPL machine out instead. Although I didn't sleep very well so maybe I need a nap too!

What a palaver at the gym! You sound like you’ve got a lot of cafe’s in your area! Sounds like a nice quest. I would join you (in my area of course) but then again, I would eat too much cake - something I should avoid if I want to lose this pesky stone (and a bit)!6
