Cheery's path to fulfilment - finishing the DIY, looking after myself, appreciating the garden 🌻

So, tomorrow.
⭐ ring solicitor about neighbour's dispute with other neighbour
⭐ pay invoice for March
⭐ sort out spreadsheet & bank transfers
⭐ update cash book
⭐ ring plumber - stupid boiler is still leaking
⭐ get a key cut - Mr C couldn't open the back door last night (lock is going a bit dodgy and door swells up in the rain) so tried to get in the front door instead - but his key was a bit bent and snapped in the lock 🙄 Fortunately managed to open the back door in the end and didn't have to sleep in the chicken run!
⭐ unpack
⭐ washing
⭐ bit of time in the garden
⭐ flute practice
That'll do as a starting point i think.
Very pleased that I've still kept up my daily morning yoga practice! 67 days now 😊 Might get myself some kind of treat when I get to 100 days 😊

that’s so impressive on the yoga Cheery, You’re also reminding me of the YWA sessions I haven’t done before - I’m making a mental note when I see one I don’t recognise pop up. How are you selecting which one to do on any given day - is it just random or are you picking to suit what you feel you need and suits the time you have?

Thank you! I'm following the monthly calendar - there's one each month under the playlists tab on her YouTube page. It takes all the decision-making out of it for me 😂 I pretty much always do the one that's allocated for that day. The only exception is if it's a really long one and I've got a really early morning (I think there's one this month that's about 45 minutes, and there was one that long last month too - I just did them on the nearest Sunday). I know what I'm like - if there's any choice I'll be just like "oh, I'm warm in bed, I'll have an extra 15 minutes here and do a shorter one" 😂 So no - I look at the start of the week, jig round if there's a really long one on an early morning, and otherwise just set the alarm appropriately.
So this morning I did 38 mins, in the hotel I did 26, at my friend's house it was fortuitously 15 mins (I confess I may have swapped that one if it had been half an hour - we did have to leave early and her kids are up and about early too).
For some baffling reason it seems to be working for me in a way that nothing ever has before - I really think it's just making it every day without fail and removing most of the choice 😂
Really feeling the benefit now though - I had to stand up on a packed tube the other day with nothing to hold on to and my core was just so damn strong 😂😂

Well done on keeping up with the yoga. I know someone in their 70s who does yoga every day and she’s so flexible. It also helps her with her mindset.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪6 -
I should say that in January there were four live workouts. Wrong time zone for me to do them in the morning, so I just did the next day's old one, and did the recording of the live the next day. This month I don't think there are any new ones in the monthly playlist, they're all old. Cheerful to see lovely Benji at different ages 🥰🥰
Oh, and I always just roll out of bed and do them in my nightie and dressing gown 😂 getting dressed twice would put me right off. And wrestling with a sports bra at that time in the morning is what usually puts me off any other kind of exercise video 😂
I always tried to make them special too, so I always light a candle if I'm at home and do it just by candlelight - and since Christmas it's been in front of the Christmas tree (and yes, it's still up 🙈😂 - the advantage of living in the middle of nowhere and having no judgy neighbours 😂😂)

I used to do the Joe Wicks workouts in my PJs and just pop a sports bra over the top. Always close the curtains so no-one saw my beautiful outfits 😂

😂😂😂 wow, that is an epic solution that I'd never even considered 😂😂 although in my case my sports bras are, through necessity, of a rather industrial quality😂😂 and I struggle to get them on at the best of times, let alone with pjs under 😂😂 love the image though😂😂

😂 I’m with you Cheery - there is definitely no chance I’d ever get mine on and even vaguely comfortable over something else! Loving that you’ve found your consistency on this though. I can certainly see the value of making it a first thing in the day non-negotiable, I’m just not willing to have to change my current 6.xxam alarm to anything that begins with a 5, and lose my lovely slow start to the day into the bargain! 😴
