Agree completely ladies, and unfortunately all to common in the world atm! I've had lots of interaction with delivery folks the past few months and i can honestly say, that I choose what businesses I purchase from based on who does their deliveries! Mostly there is no accountability for said service-people!
One of the businesses we do order from is the 'new' chippy in town, they do their own deliveries & the guy who drops it off is so lovely! He knows what our usual order is, pokes fun if we veer off that and generally makes our days brighter just by smiling. I can guarantee you that they are not the cheapest in town, but that interaction makes us return to them week after week!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I have come to the conclusion that the people who deliver basically cannot read. Any that have read them I congratulate in the hopes that they will continue. It is a bit of a maze here so it is walk to the front door drive to the back. Surely it is easier to drive to the back & remain in sight of the vehicle rather than a 5 minute walk. At least I recognise the door they often leave the parcels at in error.

Definitely worth sticking with people who do things well!
Experimented with a TGTG bag from a bakery today. Excellent haul. Unfortunately, Mr C also had an excellent haul from the Waste Not Want Not place, so we now have 8 loaves of bread and six large bags of rolls 😬😂 Mr C had rearranged the freezer to get his haul in, but I'll have to do it again to fit mine in. Don't think we'll need to buy bread til Christmas!
He also got runner beans, radishes, bananas, several bags of salad, oranges, and spring onions. I'm frying up a load of that with some rice, and trying to think who we can offload a load of bread to 😬

Your neighbours Cheery? My mum’s neighbour has randomly and sheepishly brought leftover TGTG stuff down to her occasionally - always apologising and explaining that his wife has got ‘this bag of leftovers’ 😂

😂 Yes, we may well try that, although we don't see them very often so it might be a bit mad 😂 Might stick in the freezer and distribute next time we see folk over the next few weeks 😂

Oh my mum barely knows the neighbour 😂 Chest freezer? There’s no way we could fit that much in our freezer!

Unfortunately not a chest freezer 😬😂 just a very full freezer! 😂
Mr C Snr was taken into hospital again today - he had a blood test yesterday and when the doc reviewed the results today they sent an ambulance for him. So he's in with a bad infection so we'll be heading over tomorrow
So. Tomorrow looks set to be a busy one. My original plan was Slimming world at 8am then a Potato Day (to buy potatoes for planting) at 9.30. That's actually almost half way to Mr C Snr anyway, so I think we'll both do all of those things and we can be with him by late morning. Hopefully we'll know more then.
Nowt much else to report. Snowed here this morning but not dramatically, and we used our new cafe discount. I planned to use my free NT day out with a friend, but she's not been well and hasn't been far for a couple of months, so we went somewhere more local to her instead.

Hope Mr C is ok.
