Ooh, thank you! I shall watch (either today or over the weekend)Grumpelstiltskin said:Cheery Channel 5 7pm tonight Heat Pumps are they really worth it.
Right, I know you have all been on the edge of your seat with excitement to see how the car insurance saga would turn out 🙄😂😂
I decided to NOT cut my nose off to spite my face 😂 SW was done through CtM, which was done through TCB, so if all goes to plan, we should get £25 cashback plus the app, which gives 25% off in the cafe, which is, rather embarrassingly, probably worth over £100 a year to us 😬
Did a separate policy for the other car, this time with the RAC. Upgraded slightly from the very cheapest, and it also covers Mr C to drive other vehicles (which I don't need but is occasionally useful for him). £243 for that policy.
Also went through TCB, and through a different comparison site 😂 Second comparison site is pending with TCB (£30 if it works), first comparison site isn't appearing on TCB yet (£25)
So grand total is £536 (and a few grey hairs for me 😂). £49 cheaper than the renewal quote, £289 cheaper than last year. Plus (hopefully) £55 worth of cashback, and about £130 worth of coffee 🙈😂
Not bad. And now I need a hot chocolate and some food 😂
House insurance next 😬 Not due til 8th March though so I can have a bit of a breather 😂8 -
Oh, and I must remember to CANCEL THE RENEWAL for this year's policy - they're open 9am tomorrow. Always tiresome as of course they never let you do it online 🙄
Off to rejig my spreadsheets to get that spare £289 into the main emergency fund 😊9 -

Even £49 for 3 hours of sitting on the sofa isn't too bad 😂5

Me too (no spoilers, I'm about half an hour behind )4

I looked at heat pumps before I got my solar. I have solid floors & my heating is very small bore. That means the whole lot would have to be torn out, meaning the whole house would need redecorating. Didn't there used to be something about the pump having to be a certain distance from a neighbours house too. I know it didn't take me very long to decide no.5

I haven't seen anything about floors needing to not be solid - were you planning underfloor heating too? We'll be sticking with radiators so hopefully that won't be a problem.
Not sure what the rules are on neighbours - unlikely to be relevant to us at any rate 😂
Been doing LOTS of reading and watching, need to stop for tonight though, head is whirring!7
