How goes your prep @Cheery_Daff?
I've just finished my question responses (friend has a little erm insight into question set) and now I need to try and memorise the damn things so that they sound effortless despite being carefully drilled

@edinburgher - have a tot of brandy before your interview - it will loosen the lips just enough to sound natural 😉😘

I also have a useful friend - one who does career coaching for women going for more senior roles. Paid for a session with her this morning, definitely worth it.8 -
Goodness me - I confess this is one piece of advice I will NOT be taking 🤭😂😂 I am such a lightweight, any tot of anything, certainly first thing in the morning, would have me either yattering on or falling asleep! 😂😂rtandon27 said:@edinburgher - have a tot of brandy before your interview - it will loosen the lips just enough to sound natural 😉😘
Left work early with Mr C -he was finished and there was no point us hanging round to wait for rush hour. Just trying to warm the house up a bit, it's currently 12 degrees in my study 🥶 One more hour of work, and then back to interview prep - drafting a set of model answers and examples tonight!8 -
I used to have a pint of Caffreys and a shot of Jack Daniels before university exams. Got a 2:1 😂

I’d have been under the desk, not writing on it! 😂😂😂edinburgher said:I used to have a pint of Caffreys and a shot of Jack Daniels before university exams. Got a 2:1 😂

Also now getting slightly sick of job prep 😬 now have a broad list of things they'll probably ask me about (but sadly unlike Ed, don't have insider knowledge of questions!) Started gathering examples together and putting them against each thing.
Tomorrow's plan will be to write out my examples properly, and record myself saying them. I don't have to give a presentation, but I do want to be able to recount various stories in a succinct way rather than waffling on.
Very ready for the weekend and a rest!12 -
