    😂 They'll get ticks when I've done them! 😁

    For now though, a neglected budget update, since we're over half way through October now.

    Amounts remaining:

    Food & household: £151.28/£350
    Diesel & parking: £216.49/£300
    Joint treats: £99.35/£200
    My spends: -£13.19/£150
    Mr C spends: £92.90/£150

    We've only had one tank of diesel so far this month, but the big car will need one soon and the little one will need one before the month is out. Mr C hasn't been to his dad's because he's been poorly, so that's had an impact.

    Mr C has also taken out £50 cash for personal spends (his are usually bits and bobs in charity shops), so we've taken that off the budget all at once.

    My personal spends took a battering because I paid for some professional CV/job support from a friend. This would be the advantage of personal spends rolling over, and we did say we'd discuss that after the first couple of months - I had plenty leftover last month which would have covered this. On this occasion I'll endeavour to keep the rest of my personal spends to a minimum, and I might supplement with this month's Prolific earnings (Prolific has been ignored this month as I've promioritised the job application, but I'll try to get that up a bit over the next week or two).

    Nowt much else financial to report, and I've not crossed anything off my list yet, so I'll going and enjoy my tea 😁

    OK. Checked banks, and sorted the form with the GP surgery. Checked the LPG, and the invoice says due by direct debit on 25th Oct 🧐 I did tell them to cancel, and I THOUGHT I'd cancelled it at the bank... There has been a standing charge payment of £15 ish since then, but I confess I can't remember if I paid that or if the DD was still in force...

    Final roundup of the day.

    ✅ sorted prescription exemption form at the GP surgery

    ✅ checked LPG, will leave DD set up

    ✅ washed spare room bedding from upstairs - although not til 10pm so it's still on the radiator and unlikely to be drying tonight 🙄

    ⭐ general tidy round and hoover

    ⭐ some batch cooking

    ✅⭐ flute practice (yes, although will need more tomorrow so leaving a star) 😂

    ✅ check banks

    ✳⭐do another round of edging on my crocheted blanket - decided to unravel and redo the existing one with a bigger crochet hook, then see if it needs more after that.

    ⭐ mow the grass!

    ⭐ might shift some more of the cut nettles if the weather holds

    Not toooooo bad ✅

    Morning chums!  An early one today - week 2 of slimming world, and it's an 8am class 😱 but at least it's all over by 9.15ish. Anyway, yesterday was a much-needed day with no itinerary, but today needs a bit more of a list. Mr C wants me to help him set up the living room for a week of musical immersion so I want to do a bit of a hoover/quick dust in there first, and also that might change the order of some of my noisier activities (as he'll be recording) but let's start with a plan and go from there...

    MORNING
    * up, dressed, slimming world
    * possibly a coffee in town (different town to yesterday)

    12-1 FOOD
    * lunch
    * quick dust and hoover of living room
    * help Mr C set up

    2-4 OUTSIDE
    * mow grass
    * rescue fallen fence post (it's not fallen off the fence, it was just propped up and has blown into a bush)
    * finish shifting nettles

    4-6 TIDY INSIDE
    * kitchen, including sweeping and mopping
    * sort out craft room
    * put small pile of clothes away in bedroom
    * change study sheets
    * hoover downstairs

    6-8 FOOD
    * make tea
    * possibly a bit of batch cooking

    8-10 GENTLE ACTIVITIES
    * flute practice
    * undo more blanket edging
    * hopefully start re-doing edging

    Let's see how that goes.  It's not off to a good start - I'm leaving the house in 15 minds and I'm still in bed talking to you lot! 😂
