@Cheery_Daff - fixing the old ones is still cheaper than buying new cars!ย  That's the logic I use with ours, which still costs less to run than my annual train pass costs!

I'd not have woken up earlier - ๐Ÿคฃ - mornings and I do not get along! - That being said I'm on an early morning meeting atm being run out of Berlin - they are all on their second coffee, I'm still on my first!

@Cheery_Daff over on foxgloves thread you said the temperature in your home had been about 12ยฐc recently. We too live in an old cold stone house, we have been running the dehumidifier which has brought the humidity down and the temperature up, it is now much more comfortable. I was wondering if using a dehumidifier at our house would improve things.

I was amazed at how much heat the dehumidifier kicks out when it's on. We've got one in our room of doom to keep the mould levels at a resonably manageable level. We used to have a heater in there with a thermostatic socket but that was staying off because the dehumidifier heats the room up anyway.
